Rescue 31
Rescue 31 is an 18' Walk-In Heavy Rescue. It is mounted on a 2003 Freightliner M2 Business Class chassis. Rescue 31 was manufactured by E-One in Ocala, FL.
Its powertrain is comprised of a Caterpillar 350 engine with an Allison transmission. This truck will roll as our primary response to all motor vehicle accidents and medical
assists. It will also serve as a support and command unit at vehicle, brush, and structure fires. Rescue 31 has an onboard PTO driven 15KW generator, a 6,000
watt NightScan telescoping (up to 25ft) light system, and two 600 watt tripod lights. For extrication and rescue response, it features a Holmatro 2035GU electric
pump, two 100' electric rewind hydraulic hose reels for extrication tools, two 100' electric rewind electrical cord reels with a 4 receptacle box on each line, and one
100' electric rewind air hose reel for our airbag system. The walk-in box features bench seating for 6 crew members, 6 handlights, 6 SCBAs, extension ladder,
pike poles, attic ladder, and command desk. It also features two air conditioning/heating units that are 13,500 BTUs EACH!
This truck will become a great tool for Elberta, and all neighboring departments who might one day need this truck for all it has to offer!
